Tyler Church Wins Back to Back Races at Tri County!

As the nine year anniversary of Tyler's mother passing away on August 21, Tyler wanted more than anything to honor her on Friday night with a win.  He did just that.

Tyler was one of the fastest cars during practice but still needed to improve the car to qualify on the pole.  After swapping tires around and making a few more adjustments, Tyler was the next to last car to hit the track for his qualifying lap.  After taking the checkers and slowing down the backstretch Tyler saw his lap time up on the scoreboard, and to his suprise had set fast time for the night!  From start to finish Tyler never looked back as he lead every lap bringing home the checkard flag in memory of his Mom!  An excited and emotional Church climbed from the car to stand proud for winning his fourth race of the season at Tri County and gaining two more points on the championship leader narrowing the gap!  It will all come down to the last lap this upcoming Friday night to decide the limited late model champion.  Whether Tyler Church Racing wins or finishes second it will have made for an awesome year at Tri County!  We would like to thank everyone for all of their help and support this year!  We invite you to come out for the season finale this weekend August 27, 2010 at Tri County Motor Speedway!

August 6 & 7

A long week leading up to the August 6th event at Tri County and then the following night at Hickory was worth all of the hard work and the late hours as Tyler dominated at Tri County Friday Night!  Descent in practice, Tyler set fast time as he was the last car to qualify!  With no hesitation Tyler chose to start the race on the outside for the thirty five lap race.  Caution after caution flew allowing for restart after restart of competition Tyler had to fend off.  As one of the most action packed races of the season finaly came to an end, Tyler found himself leading the field to the checkers for the third win this season bringing his championship dreams back to life!  Now with only two races left in 2010 at Tri County, Tyler is very optimistic about his chances.

Hickory Motor Speedway the following night was just as eventfull as Tri County the previous night.  With Tyler practicing well and pulling out on to the track for qualifying, Tyler quickly started feeling the clutch slipping yet again.  Although having trouble Tyler managed to qualify in the eigth position.  As soon as the car crossed the scales after his qualifying run, Tyler drove straight to the trailer where he, dad, and uncle got started on taking apart the drivetrain.  With time to spare before the race, Hickory officials were nice enough to give Tyler two laps after the first race of the night to make sure his problems were fixed with the clutch.  Luck was on Tyler's side as he was able to start the race with no issues!  Tyler quickly made his way to the sixth position and after battling hard finally made it into the top five where he would finish the race!

Another great weekend of racing for Tyler Church and team, consisting of his dad who celebrated his birthday Friday night as well, Tyler's unlce Johnny, Stevie Wilson, Chad Kirby, and thanks to the help of A-Amazing Services, Advance Auto Parts.  A special thanks to Everett GM Parts Dept for my job and allowing me to go race on the weekends!  Thanks to all of the fans, family and friends for their support and most of all thanks to the Lord for all of life's many blessings!

Another Double Header Weekend

Tyler and team went racing again two nights in a row this past weekend as a second place starting position helped in a strong third place run.  The car wasn't what Tyler had hoped for but bringing it home in one piece again was worth the hard work along with another good points night.   Saturday was the hottest race day of the season to this point and a slick track made things that more difficult.  Tyler qualified in the fifth position for the thirty five lap event.  At the drop of the green flag, Tyler struggled a little bit with the car.  After the first caution flag came out the restart wound up costing Tyler by the end of the race a shot at winning as the first car on the inside row didn't take off, the driver behind Tyler hammered down running straight into the back of Tyler's car lifting it off the ground.  Once back on all four wheels, Tyler started making his way towards the front as the next caution soon came.  On the restart, Tyler went to get back in the throttle only to feel the clutch slipping causing him to fall back several positions.  As more cautions flew and with two laps to go with a green white checkard finish, Tyler had sharp body pains resulting in getting assistance after the race by the paramedics.  But never wanting to get out of the car before the end of the race, Tyler faught back to finish sixth.  With a car with no clutch, and extremely sharp pains through his body, Tyler never quit and continued his will and drive to making it to the end of the race.

As always Tyler and crew want to thank the Lord for his blessings giving too us all and may he bless you as well!  Thanks for everyone's help and support of making Tyler's racing career a success.

Special thanks to Advance Auto Parts and A-Mazing Services!

1st Win of the Season at Hickory Motor Speedway!!!!

A rainy, muggy day for some were bright and clear for Tyler as the checkard flag flew!

As a rain shower came over the track before the first practice, officials decided to cancel qualifying for the limited division as well as giving them only one practice session instead of two.  As the starting positions were then determined by the point standings, Tyler found himself along side of the leader for the start!  Several laps after the start of the race, Tyler started trying to run down the leader only to fall back to the third position.  Things changed quickly as the caution came out and then restarting third with the leader choosing to start on the outside.  As the second place car jumped the restart the caution flew once again to restart the race.  This time however it would only take two laps for Tyler to grab the lead as the two cars leading wrecked in the middle of the first and second turn!  Tyler cut his car hard left to drive right below the wrecking cars taking over the top spot for the restart with only two laps to go!  As the green flag came out once more it didn't take but a lap later to get the last caution of the night.  This time Tyler felt confident about being able to stay out front for the final laps!  Getting the green, then taking the white flag a lap later, Tyler was getting challenged on his outside as the two headed for turns three and four.   But a focused Church proved he has what it takes to win at Hickory Motor Speedway crossing the line with in a car length ahead of second place!  A very excited Tyler would like to thank God, his dad, family and friends for the support to get to where he is!

A special thanks to Advance Auto Parts for giving Tyler the award for most improved finishing position from starting position for the month of June!
